On board the Engelburg
The Engelburg is a Zeeland clipper from 1912, 28 meters long. After a rich history as a (sailing) cargo ship, it is now fully equipped for comfortable stays off-grid. The entire ship offers sufficient standing height (>2m) and is equipped with central heating. There are 3 bedrooms, a comfortable living room with complete kitchen, toilet and bathroom.
Spacious living room with open kitchen
The former cargo hold has been transformed into a fully equipped living space. There is a living room with a television and stereo, a piano and adjoining open kitchen (35m2) with a 5-burner gas stove, a combi-oven, a fridge with freezer and a dishwasher. Cooking utensils, crockery and kitchen linen are provided.
Bedrooms
There are three bedrooms:
Room 1, the green room, has a double bed and a washbasin.
Room 2, the orange room, has two beds that can be made separately or together.
Room 3, the blue room, has four beds.
When you rent our bedrooms, the beds are already made for you and bed linen is included.
Each bedroom has ample closet space.
There is a shared bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and bath. In the hall with washing machine and dryer is a second toilet.
Outside
On deck there is plenty of space to sit in the sun, or if it is too hot, under a sunshade. Almost all decks can be used. On the mast deck in front of the cabin there is a large dining table with 8 outdoor chairs. The other mast deck, the foredeck and the hatch covers are also great places to stay. Only the aft deck is for the skipper and the mate: Joost and Evelien, who live in the cabin and always make sure that the ship arrives safely at its next destination.
